Job description

Position Title: Event Producer Off-Premise Catering

Salary: $75,000 to $90,000

We produce one-of-a-kind catered events and unparalleled dining experiences in a variety of cultural, corporate, entertainment, and private venues throughout New York City and beyond.

 

Job Summary

The Event Producer is a detail-oriented project manager responsible for the successful planning and execution of off-premise events for Union Square Events. This role owns event production and logistics from sales handoff through closeout, serving as the primary production contact for clients, internal teams, and external partners. The Event Producer ensures events are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in line with client expectations through strong communication, organization, and on-site leadership.
Core Responsibilities:
Event Production & Logistics
Own assigned off-premise events from sales handoff through event closeout
Serve as the primary client contact for all production-related logistics
Plan and manage production elements including floorplans, station diagrams, rental orders, production timelines, run-of-show documents, permits, COIs, and required paperwork
Coordinate and attend site visits with clients, sales, and vendors as needed
Internal Coordination
Lead pre-production coordination with Sales, Service/Staffing, Culinary, Logistics, Warehouse, and Purchasing teams
Provide Service teams with clear production materials to support execution
Maintain accurate production trackers and archive all event documentation
Proactively identify risks, changes, or constraints and escalate when appropriate
Onsite Event Execution
Represent Union Square Events on-site with professionalism and confidence
Oversee setup, rental execution, and strike related to production elements
Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure events align with current or evolving plans
Troubleshoot production issues calmly and efficiently in a live environment
Work independently while recognizing when to seek guidance or escalation
Process & Continuous Improvement
Contribute to the development and refinement of production processes, templates, and standards
Provide solution-oriented post-event reporting to improve cross-department efficiency
Maintain strong attention to detail, quality control, and client satisfaction
Assess production systems and workflows to enhance execution and collaboration

Qualifications
Experience: 4+ years of off-premise catering, event production, or event management experience
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
Technical Skills:
Strong project management and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
Familiarity with Adobe and Cvent preferred
Ability to assess accuracy and completeness of work
Additional Knowledge: Catering, wine, beer, and spirits knowledge a plus
Language: English
Work Environment
This role requires work in active event environments, including prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting, and navigating event venues. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required based on event schedules.
