Position details:
The Certified Surgical Technologist works directly with the physician and the circulating registered nurse in each surgical procedure, understanding his/her scope of practice based upon training, and the facility policies and outlined in the job description.
Basic Requirements:

  • Certification from an accredited school of surgical technology.
  • Minimum of one-year Surgical Tech experience
  • Three years Surgical Tech experience preferred
  • Certified as a Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) as of January 1, 2018 OR Successfully completed a training program for surgical technologists administered by the United States Public Health Service, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard OR Engaged in the practice of surgical technology in a health care facility before January 1, 2018
  • BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
