Job Summary:
The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical unit. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The RN coordinates total nursing care for patients, actively participates in patient and family education, and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and other healthcare personnel to maintain professional nursing practice standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and implementing nursing interventions.
  • Assess patient conditions, develop individualized care plans, and document patient progress accurately.
  • Coordinate total nursing care for patients, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.
