In 2003 we opened the Cancer Center, which boasts top radiation and oncology equipment for cancer treatment. Our Paradise Hospice facility, built in the same year, is the only one of its kind in the region offering inpatient and in-home support to those considering end-of-life decisions.

Job Description

Registered Nurse to function as our OB RN. Operating Room RN position also available.ย  Makes initial and ongoing assessment of the patient's needs, identifying changes and trends in various physical, emotional, and age related parameters. Evaluates the patient response to nursing interventions related to the established goals and overall effectiveness of the care provided and makes adjustments as necessary. Documents relevant data, including but not limited to nursing diagnoses, patient's plan of care, intervention and response, and discharge plan. Assists with the preparation, procedure and emergent care of C-section patient according to hospital policies. Provides pregnant women with information and support, prior to birth, following birth, and before discharge regarding the benefits and management of breast-feeding as per hospital policy. Provides for the safe management of the mother/baby couplet.

Qualifications

RN; BSN Preferred. Current license to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in the State of California. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. AHA Healthcare Provider or Red Cross Professional CPR Certification required. NRP neonatal resuscitation certification required. Non-violent Crisis Prevention & Intervention preferred. Attends a basic fetal monitoring course every two years.
