What You’ll Do

  • Provide high‑quality care for intermediate‑acuity patients transitioning from critical care to Med/Surg level.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care using evidence‑based practices.
  • Perform accurate hand‑offs and bedside shift reporting to maintain patient safety.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practitioners, and multidisciplinary partners to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Administer medications, monitor complex conditions (cardiac, respiratory, post‑ICU), and support recovery.
  • Participate in huddles, shared governance activities, and unit‑based quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
  • BSN preferred.

Licensure

  • Current Missouri RN license or compact license.

Certifications

  • Required: BLS (American Heart Association).
  • Preferred: ACLS, NIHSS, PCCN, or other Stepdown‑related certifications.
