Job description

An opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to support a 75-bed hospital in a travel assignment based in Medford, WI. This role offers a dynamic environment primarily covering inpatient pharmacy needs with exposure to outpatient services and specialty areas, ideal for pharmacists seeking a variety of clinical experiences.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Mainly 10-hour day shifts
  • Rotating weekends involve 8-hour shifts

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple concurrent tasks within a central inpatient pharmacy setting, including verifying orders through EPIC, reviewing technician work, and responding to pharmacist inquiries by phone
  • Dispense and provide clinical oversight for inpatient and outpatient intravenous therapies, unit dose medications, and outpatient chemotherapy
  • Support a patient census ranging from 30 to 40, working closely with diverse departments including Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, outpatient oncology, emergency department, and surgical services

Desired Experience/Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist with hospital pharmacy experience
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system preferred
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced, multitasking environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in inpatient and outpatient medication dispensing, including chemotherapy administration, is highly valued
