A hospital janitor, also known as a hospital custodian, performs sanitation and maintenance duties at a hospital or medical care building. As a hospital janitor, your responsibilities are to ensure that all public spaces, such as hallways, bathrooms, and patients rooms, are clean and to report any mechanical or technical issues to facility crew. Some hospital janitors also perform light groundskeeping work, such as shoveling snow, mowing lawns, and watering gardens or trees. You may use a variety of tools and equipment, such as mops, vacuums, carpet steamers, and floor buffers.
