Job description

Salary: $19/hour

Janitor

Reports to: Practice owner, Practice manager


West Coast Animal Hospital is a full-service animal hospital located in the middle of San Diego, open daily. We have 2 hospital locations, and the shifts would be shared between both. We have Janitor shifts available on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (Sunday thru Wednesday) from 7:30 AM 6:15PM. As a medical facility, our staff works an alternate schedule of four 10-hour days/week versus five 8-hour days/week.


Wage Range:

$18.00-$19.50


EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent


EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


  • Previous experience in a veterinary clinic a plus but not required.

  • Previous in a custodial/janitorial position required


PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 18 years old.
  • Physical Effort: Work requires lifting and carrying of up to 40bs. Walks or stands for extended periods or time; frequently works in a bent position.
  • Working conditions: May be exposed to unpleasant odors, noises and animal feces and urine. May be exposed to bites, scratches and contagious diseases.
  • Dependable, arrives on time and ready to work at the start of their scheduled shift
  • Can conduct oneself in a confident and professional manner even when stressed and/or focused on individual tasks.
