Job Description
An HHS (Hospital Housekeeping Systems) EVS Supervisor directs daily housekeeping operations in a healthcare setting. They manage cleaning teams, conduct quality control inspections, handle supply inventory, and enforce strict infection control and safety protocols to maintain safe, healing environments for patients.
Responsibilities
We're looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our housekeeping team!
Support the housekeeping (EVS) department leadership to maintain a high level of cleanliness and consistency throughout all areas of the hospital. Create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where patients can heal.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee team members and assign cleaning duties to ensure coverage of all areas
  • Perform daily inspections and maintain quality control programs
  • Manage supplies and ensure team members have the equipment necessary to complete job assignments
  • Assist with payroll and administrative duties as assigned
  • Assist with cleaning areas of the hospital as needed to ensure full coverage
  • Follow all HHS cleaning procedures and best practices
  • Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital
  • Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
  • Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
  • GED or high school diploma
  • Experience as a supervisor preferred
  • Preferred: Housekeeping experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, room attendant, floor care technician, hotel operations, healthcare)

Physical Requirements
  • Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift
  • Pushing and pulling carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift
  • Must handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants
  • Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
