Job description

Overview
Danis is a recognized leader in the construction management industry, celebrated for our relentless commitment to excellence and innovation since 1916. We are problem solvers, innovators, and meticulous planners, delivering complex, high-quality projects that fulfill our clients' visions. Our team thrives on challenges, pushing the boundaries of what's possible, and we're passionate about building more than just structures-we build communities.
Danis is hiring a Project Manager - Healthcare Construction to support and lead active hospital construction projects in the Jacksonville market. This role is for construction professionals with experience working for a general contractor or construction manager. If you've worked on healthcare builds, understand the realities of occupied facilities, and can step into a project already in progress, this is an opportunity to grow with a stable, healthcare-focused builder.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do
  • Manage day-to-day construction execution on healthcare projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Coordinate subcontractors, field teams, and consultants in active or occupied hospital environments
  • Support planning, scheduling, cost control, buyout, billings, and change management
  • Participate in owner, architect, and contractor (OAC) meetings as the GC representative
  • Partner closely with Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Project Executives
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control requirements, AHCA regulations, and hospital protocols

This is a hands-on construction management role, not a facilities, capital planning, or non-construction PM position within a hospital system.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent construction experience)
  • 5-8+ years of construction experience, including direct involvement in healthcare or hospital construction
  • Experience working for a general contractor or construction manager
  • Working knowledge of AHCA requirements, ICRA standards, and Florida healthcare construction regulations
  • Experience managing work in active or occupied healthcare facilities
  • Solid understanding of construction schedules, budgets, contracts, and field operations
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Self-perform GC experience is preferred.
Why Danis
  • Healthcare Construction Focus - meaningful projects that support patient care
  • Focused Project Load - PMs are not spread across multiple jobs
  • Competitive Pay + Bonuses
  • Comprehensive Benefits (medical, dental, life, disability, supplemental options)
  • 401(k) & Profit Sharing
  • Generous PTO & Paid Holidays
  • Career Development through Danis University
  • Community Impact through our Constructing Hope program

If you're a construction Project Manager with healthcare experience and AHCA familiarity and ready to take the next step while continuing to grow, we'd love to connect.
