Healthcare Assistant (ASSS) – Law 90 – (Chaudière-Appalaches) Place : Chaudière-Appalaches - Quebec, Canada (home and partner establishments) Contract type: Full-time or part-time (permanent/fixed-term contract depending on needs) Schedules : Day, evening or night depending on assignments and availability Salary : To be determined, up to $29 more (bonuses, transportation reimbursement, continuing education, etc.) About ASICC-MED: Since 1992, ASICC-MED has supported healthcare settings in Quebec with qualified, reliable and mobile staff. Job summary: The Healthcare Assistant (HAA) performs delegated activities in accordance with Law 90 and established clinical protocols. He/she contributes to the quality, safety and continuity of care for users, under the supervision of a nurse or authorized professional. Main responsibilities (in accordance with Law 90): Administer certain medications via non-invasive routes (oral, topical, sublingual, etc.) according to prescription and protocol. Perform authorized invasive care assistance (e.g., capillary blood glucose, simple wound care, subcutaneous injections if permitted by the environment). Monitor the user's general condition and report any abnormalities to the clinical team. Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), as needed.
