Director, Quality & Compliance – Grand Junction | Monday–Friday, 8am-5pm Schedule
 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
 Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
 Pay Range: $93,461-$103,189 (Exempt)
 
HopeWest is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Director of Quality & Compliance to protect the integrity of our care and the dignity of our patients. You will lead with both clinical empathy and regulatory rigor, ensuring that our compliance frameworks directly support seamless, compassionate care.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Hospice Quality provides strategic leadership and oversight for hospice quality, regulatory compliance, performance improvement, patient safety, and accreditation readiness. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring quality initiatives that support exceptional patient care outcomes, regulatory compliance, and organizational excellence. The Director of Hospice Quality collaborates with operational, clinical, and executive leaders to promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and patient-centered care across hospice services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing required
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field preferred.
  • At least 5 to 7 years of leadership experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in quality and compliance required.
  • Experience with regulatory surveys, accreditation, and quality improvement methodologies. 
  • Current unrestricted RN license required
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred or obtained within 2 years of employment.
  • Hospice and Palliative Care certification preferred or obtained within 2 years of employment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with QAPI, data analytics, and performance improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead organizational change initiatives.
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
