What We're Looking For:
  • Calm under pressure with strong decision-making skills
  • Ability to thrive in high-stress, fast-paced environments
  • Dependable and self-motivated with minimal need for supervision
  • 1+ year of experience as a Paramedic
  • Nationally Certified Paramedic with valid Louisiana Paramedic License
  • LA Class D Chauffeur's License
  • BLS, ACLS required; PALS and NRP within 6 months of hire
  • Crisis Prevention training within 6 months of hire
  • Physically capable of performing job functions
  • Knowledge of LA traffic laws and safe driving practices
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

What You Will Do:
Administer advanced life support care to sick or injured individuals in pre-hospital settings and during campus transport. Provide emergency medical interventions while ensuring safe vehicle operations and thorough patient documentation, in compliance with BRG policies and federal/state regulations.
  • Deliver advanced life support in pre-hospital environments, on-site emergencies, and during transport
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls efficiently and compassionately
  • Assess injury/illness severity and prioritize interventions accordingly
  • Provide emergency diagnostics and treatments, including airway management, cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and CPR
  • Utilize advanced equipment to treat traumatic injuries and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
  • Respond as in-house paramedic for Rapid Response Team to care for patients, visitors, and staff as needed
  • Operate emergency vehicle safely in compliance with laws and hospital protocols
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and restock medical inventory each shift
  • Complete all documentation and manage controlled substances per policy
  • Serve in ED Paramedic role or represent BRG at public events as needed
  • Perform additional duties to ensure smooth operation of the Ambulance Transport Service
