The Machine Operator is responsible for operating the Corrugator Machine and turning a mill length tube into a mill length of corrugated hose. Required to cross train across company departments based on business needs.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Run corrugators according to procedures.
  • Diagnose problems with machine and explain situation to Department Engineer.
  • Inspect and measure tolerances according to procedures.
  • Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
  • Good basic math and mechanical skills.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure, dial calipers and micrometer.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds; push/pull up to 50 pounds; transfer 20 - 100 pounds with the help of another person.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend, squat, twist and kneel.
  • Good hearing and vision - especially color vision due to color coding.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
