We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Plant Technician to join our dynamic SoCal Maintenance and Installation Team. In this role, you will play a key part by maintaining and caring for both interior and exterior plant installations and thriving vertical gardens. If you're passionate about creating beautiful, sustainable environments and have the skills to make a real impact, we'd love for you to help us make our cities greener, one space at a time.


Job Tasks:

  • Caring for indoor and outdoor vertical gardens and interior plants
  • Deadheading, Aesthetic and functional pruning
  • Manage pest and plant disease issues (with direction), including but not limited to; identification, treatment, and prevention
  • Planting with attention to detail and proper technique
  • Report problems related to pests, diseases, and/or damage to gardens
  • Assist with the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of irrigation systems
  • Adhering to fertilizer and irrigation schedules, and adjusting as necessary to optimize plant health
  • Communicate effectively with team members using mobile technology
  • Customer service interaction with clients in their spaces
  • Help implement the fabrication and installation of the living wall structure, irrigation plumbing systems, planting
  • Operating and working from various elevated work platforms ; including ladders, scissor lifts, boom lifts, suspended scaffolding, and forklifts
  • Pickup and deliver plants and supplies as needed, receive deliveries as needed
  • Load and unload equipment and materials

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience and passion for exterior and interiorscape plant care
  • Knowledge of tropical interior plants and ornamental exterior landscape plants
  • Proficiency in identifying common plant pests and understanding their management
  • Familiarity with irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Experience with nutrients and fertilizers for plants
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Ability to confidently interpret unknowns and make competent informed decisions
  • Energetic, hardworking, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
  • Positive attitude and ability to take direction
  • Excellent customer service capabilities
  • Preferred Certifications: OSHA 30, MEWP/ Aerial Lift Certification, First Aid/CPR, Horticulture Degree

Requirements:


  • Ability to work from heights and maintain a safe working area
  • Physical ability to carry a minimum of 50 LBS
  • Must have proficiency with equipment and power tools used on commercial projects
  • You must have a valid California license with clean driving record, reliable transportation, be extremely dependable, and flexible with work hours
  • Available to work between the hours of 6 am - 5 pm. Work hours may vary depending on the needs of the client/project location
  • Flexibility to travel out of area for work
