Job description

Oldfield Club, located in Okatie, SC, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Assistant Equestrian Instructor/Stable Technician! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Pay:
$19.00 per hour

Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts per week, with three consecutive days off

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides daily routine care of horses and other barn animals.
  • Performs light pasture and arena maintenance.
  • Administers light veterinary care.
  • Assists with programming, including shows, clinics, and summer camps.
  • Instructs lower-level English riding lessons for beginner riders as young as 6 years old through cantering.
  • Provides educational and family-oriented experiences for members of the community through instruction in horseback riding and other recreational activities offered by the Equestrian Center.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A valid U.S.-issued driver's license.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Minimum of three years of horse husbandry experience.
  • Must pass a background check.
Working Conditions:
  • Must be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
