InterSources Inc is seeking a Sr VMware Horizon engineer to architect, design, and deploy VMware Horizon solutions. The role involves managing and maintaining the VMware Horizon environment, providing technical expertise, and ensuring compliance with security policies.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Architect, design, and deploy VMware Horizon solutions to meet business requirements.
โ€ข Configure and optimize VMware Horizon components, including Connection Servers, Unified Access Gateways, App Volumes, and Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM).
โ€ข Integrate VMware Horizon with other enterprise systems, such as Active Directory, storage, and networking.
โ€ข Manage and maintain the VMware Horizon environment, ensuring high availability and performance.
โ€ข Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to VMware Horizon components.
โ€ข Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
โ€ข Serve as the subject matter expert for VMware Horizon and related technologies.
โ€ข Provide guidance and mentorship to IT teams on best practices for VDI deployment and management.
โ€ข Stay updated on the latest VMware Horizon features, updates, and industry trends.

Qualifications:
Required:

โ€ข 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with VMware Horizon.
โ€ข Expertise in VMware Horizon components, including Connection Servers, Unified Access Gateways, App Volumes, and Dynamic Environment Manager.
โ€ข Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere and ESXi.
โ€ข Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy management.
โ€ข Experience with networking concepts, including VLANs, firewalls, and load balancers.
โ€ข Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
โ€ข Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred:
โ€ข VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification in Desktop and Mobility or Data Center Virtualization.
โ€ข Experience with cloud-based VDI solutions, such as VMware Horizon Cloud on Azure or AWS.
โ€ข Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
โ€ข Knowledge of ITIL processes and frameworks.
