Job description

Starting Pay Range: $34.89 - $38.94 per hour

Typical Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 10am to 4pm with occasional Sunday needs

Summary

The Inner Wellbeing & Spirituality Associate supports the spiritual wellbeing of residents, families, volunteers, and staff by fostering connection, comfort, and belonging. This role provides compassionate spiritual care through individual support, worship services, faith-based programming, remembrance events, and meaningful community engagement. Working closely with the Inner Wellbeing & Spirituality Manager, the Associate helps create an inclusive environment that honors individuals of all faith traditions and those with no faith tradition.


What Youll Do

  • Provide compassionate spiritual and emotional support to residents, families, volunteers, and staff.
  • Conduct one-on-one visits and facilitate group engagement opportunities.
  • Plan and lead worship services, Bible studies, holiday observances, and other spiritual programming.
  • Organize remembrance and memorial services that honor residents and support community reflection.
  • Partner with other departments to develop meaningful programming for residents.
  • Coordinate with community faith leaders and support onsite faith-based services and activities.
  • Maintain participation records and support ongoing departmental operations and training.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge

  • Ordained or commissioned minister, or eligible for ordination or commissioning within 12 months of hire.
  • Three years of experience in ministry, spiritual care, chaplaincy, or a related field.
  • Two years of experience leading worship services within a faith tradition.
  • Experience working with older adults, preferably in senior living, healthcare, hospice, or a related setting.
  • Ability to provide inclusive spiritual care and build meaningful relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and beliefs.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to resident dignity, confidentiality, and person-centered service.
