Job description

About the Team:

The Supply Chain team turns design intent into executable reality, balancing lead time, cost, complexity, and manufacturability to ensure we can build and scale Terran R. On this team, you're not just placing orders; you're actively shaping the solution. With full ownership across raw materials, capital equipment, and services, the role requires both strategic thinking and day-to-day execution. As the company scales, supply chain becomes increasingly central, working closely with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and more to make decisions that work for today but also for tomorrow. This is a team for those who want to operate at the intersection of technical ambition and business execution, driving tangible progress to keep the Terran R program on track.

About the Role:

As Global Supply Manager for Horizon, you'll work closely with stakeholders across Engineering, Manufacturing, Legal, Compliance, and Program Management to design and scale compliant supply chains supporting government and defense applications. You'll be the architect of Horizon's supply base, ensuring every supplier meets the rigorous standards required for federal contracts.

  • Lead strategic sourcing for Horizon program requirements, establishing and qualifying CMMC-compliant and CUI-capable suppliers to support defense and space technology delivery with additional sourcing/negotiation of capital equipment, raw material, machining subcontracts, and material testing services
  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies, including supplier selection, long-term agreements, capacity planning, and supply base development, aligned with federal program timelines
  • Ensure federal compliance across all procurement activities (ITAR, EAR, FAR/DFARS, CMMC), managing export controls, compliance documentation, and audit readiness in partnership with Legal and Compliance teams
  • Partner cross-functionally with Horizon engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program leadership to align procurement with program milestones and influence design for manufacturability
  • Drive supplier performance through rigorous risk management, Executive Business Reviews (EBRs), vendor scorecards, and corrective action management while maintaining quality and delivery targets
  • Manage end-to-end procurement, including RFx processes, contract negotiations, purchase order management, and cost optimization initiatives while adhering to federal procurement regulations
  • Act as the primary supply chain liaison for Horizon leadership and external stakeholders, providing strategic reporting on metrics, risks, opportunities, and program readiness

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Strong understanding of CMMC, CUI, ITAR, and export control regulations
  • 5+ years of professional experience in supply chain, sourcing, or procurement
  • Demonstrated experience supporting government/defense contracts with working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, ITAR, and federal compliance requirements
  • Proven track record of negotiating contracts and managing milestone-based agreements
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Infor LN/Lawson, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
  • Experience managing suppliers for complex aerospace or advanced manufacturing commodities
  • Data-driven decision maker with strong analytical, reporting, and communication capabilities
  • Direct experience managing commodities for government/defense programs (additive manufacturing, advanced materials, specialized tooling, CMMC-compliant manufacturing services)
  • Proven success driving supplier performance improvements through KPIs, recovery plans, and long-term agreements
  • New Product Development (NPD) or New Product Introduction (NPI) supply chain experience, preferably within aerospace or frontier technology industries
  • Proficiency in supplier risk assessment, cost modeling, and capacity planning
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and NADCAP standards, supplier qualifications, and audit processes

Nice to have but not required:

  • MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering
  • Active security clearance or prior experience in cleared environments
  • CPSM, CSCP, or CPM certification (ISM or APICS)
