What We Need:ย 
We are looking for a Regional Education Manager to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings team.ย 
The Regional Education Manager is responsible for advancing HONโ€™s education business within an assigned region through strategic market development, dealer capability building, and direct engagement with K-12 and Higher Education decision-makers.ย  This role drives growth by influencing district-level relationships, developing dealer readiness, and aligning regional strategies with HONโ€™s education vision and business objectives.

What You Will Do:ย 
  • Develop and execute the regional education strategy through assigned dealer networks and end-user engagement to achieve sustainable sales growth and increased market share.ย 
  • Lead relationships with district-level administrators, superintendents, and principals to identify upcoming opportunities and position HON as a partner in educational transformation.ย 
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships withโ€ฏpriority education dealers, collaborating directly with dealer principals to develop their sales force, drive engagement, and strengthen alignment with HONโ€™s education initiatives.ย 
  • Work alongside dealer sales teams and internal sales members to pursueโ€ฏhigh-priority projects, including large bond-funded and district-wide opportunities, ensuring coordinated pursuit and early engagement.ย 
  • Develop and manage aโ€ฏregional bond targeting frameworkโ€ฏto track, qualify, and pursue all education capital funding opportunities in partnership with Business Development peers and dealer sales representatives.ย 
  • Serve as an advisor to districts and higher education institutions, connecting their learning goals, facility plans, and equity initiatives with HONโ€™s design and product solutions.ย 
  • Conduct strategic business reviews with dealer principals to evaluate performance, identify growth opportunities, and align action plans for expanding HON Educationโ€™s reach.ย 
  • Partner with Channel Marketing and Product Management to deliver education-specific campaigns, promotional programs, and market activations that drive brand visibility and performance.ย 
  • Represent HON Education at industry trade shows, state education conferences, and association events to strengthen HONโ€™s position as a thought leader and trusted education partner.ย 
  • Utilize CRM systems to manage pipeline activity, monitor dealer performance, and ensure accurate forecasting. Provide timely insights and market intelligence on competition, trends, and opportunities.ย 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure execution excellence across operations, marketing, and product functions.ย 
  • Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.
What You Have:ย 
  • Previous experience navigating with business decision makers within the education space. ย 
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, marketing, education or related field preferred. ย 
ย 
To be considered for the Regional Education Manager, the candidate should have at least 5 years of commercial furnishings or education sector sales experience required; 7 years preferred.ย  Proven history of developing strong relationships and engagement with district administrators, dealer principals, and internal sales teams required. Proven ability to lead complex strategic initiatives across multiple stakeholders and regions required. Ability to serve as a change agent influencing internal sales members, dealers, and education partners to adopt new approaches, strategies, and solutions that elevate HONโ€™s impact required. ย

To be considered for the Senior Regional Education Manager โ€“ the candidate should have at least 7 years of commercial furnishings or education sector sales experience required; 9 years preferred.ย  Proven history of developing strong relationships and engagement with district administrators, dealer principals, and internal sales teams required. Proven ability to lead complex strategic initiatives across multiple stakeholders and regions required. Demonstrated successful experience and ability as a change agent influencing internal sales members, dealers, and education partners to adopt new approaches, strategies, and solutions that elevate HONโ€™s impact required.
