Our volunteers are a vital part of our hospice team. Our patients and families connect with our volunteers on a deeper level as they open up their hearts to our volunteers who are compassionate with a servants heart. Visiting with these patients can minimize loneliness and provide them with a sense of belonging through fellowship. These volunteers can provide companionship and share interests, engage in games with the patients, read to the patients, journal, write letters to our patients and families, card making, provide a helping hand and a listening ear, provide caregiver relief as the family is able to have some free time to run errands, light housework, and many more tasks! Our volunteers truly make a huge impact on our families and patients.
