Job Description

Hello! We are Premier Academy Walnut, a tutoring center committed to providing students with an enriching, well-rounded experience to help them achieve their academic goals. As we continue to grow, we are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team and contribute to our mission.
What Were Looking For in an After School Homework Instructor :

  • Passion for working with students and comfortable supporting Common Core subjects (2nd to 8th grade)
  • Demonstrates strong work ethic: well-organized, well-prepared, and punctual.
  • Understands the importance of building relationships, teaching, and mentoring students
  • Holds a high school diploma, GED, or higher education or has at least 1 year of experience as a classroom teacher or similar role
  • Commitment to working part-time throughout the school year and/or summer session
  • Bonus Qualification:
    • CBEST certification or primary/secondary teaching credential
Responsibilities

  • Supervise and instruct students in classrooms of 515, ensuring a safe, productive, and positive learning environment
  • Provide homework assistance, guiding students to understand and complete their work efficiently
  • Enforce classroom rules and student schedules to maintain structure and order
  • Collaborate with the Campus Director and fellow Teachers Assistants to support students in achieving their academic goals
Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 3:006:00 PM
  • Minimum commitment of 2 days per week
  • Position runs through the end of the school year, with opportunities to transition into the summer session
  • No work on school holidays (following WVUSD Schedule)
