To start working with a homeless program, you should research organizations in your area that serve homeless populations and review their job openings or volunteer opportunities. Relevant skills include communication, empathy, and case management, and some positions may require certifications such as CPR or social work credentials. Applying directly through organization websites or contacting their human resources departments is typically the next step.
