The Facility Maintenance Worker is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all production-related items.

Team members at Homeland Vinyl Products work in a plastics facility. This facility includes plastic injection molding equipment, forklifts, power equipment, raw material handling equipment, and other machinery that needs maintenance.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Facility Maintenance Worker is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all production-related items.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
• Receives general and specific instructions from supervision and then carries out work unsupervised.
• Performance of routine maintenance and repairs to plant systems.
• Perform regular scheduled preventative maintenance inspections.
• Perform electrical repairs on all facility-related electrical systems.
• Assist with production maintenance as required.
• Completion of all required maintenance documentation.
• Performance of miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.
• Other tasks as assigned.
• Report any safety and quality issues/problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
• Properly follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
Requirements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Capable of climbing.
• Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work in both hot and cold environments.
• Must be able to work on man lifts at ceiling height.
SKILLS AND, KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
• Mechanical aptitude and in-depth knowledge of plumbing, pumps, electrical power systems and components, and PLC programming.
• In-depth understanding of the importance of preventative maintenance inspections.
• Technical knowledge of equipment components.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with others.
