In this career, you install electronics, such as large-screen televisions or TV projection systems. A home theater installation technician can also work on audio equipment, such as surround-sound speaker systems. You duties also include connecting devices to a home internet network. Your responsibilities involve testing all equipment and systems after setup to make sure they function as intended. Some installation specialists set up all of the visual, audio, network equipment in media rooms according to customer specifications. You complete the installation by teaching customers how to use their home theater systems.
