GridSource is currently seeking Fiber Technicians in Franklin, IN.
Sign-On Bonus: $2500
Qualified candidates must be fully tooled and have a Truck, Van or SUV to carry a ladder.
A 28-foot Fiberglass Ladder with Midspan Hooks and V-rung is also required.
Fiber Installers are engaged with performing installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-speed internet. Also, the wiring and equipment of data and voice networks.
What you'll do:
• Perform Residential fiber installation
• Observe all safety rules and regulations
• Assist other technical personnel in the performance of their duties when requested
• Must convey a positive and professional appearance and demeanor when communicating the company's products and services to our customers
• Actively support sales and marketing related activities
• Accountability/dependability (on time and on load when scheduled and serve on call as needed)
• Asking relevant questions to ensure problems are resolved quickly or to clarify information or directions
• Active Learning (curious seeker of new information and actively works to improve skills and knowledge)
• Assume all other duties as assigned
What you'll need:
• Must have experience in the field of Residential Fiber Installation.
• Technician must have their own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack and 28' fiberglass ladder with V-rung and mid-span hooks as well as all climbing equipment
• Technician must have their own tools to perform the job. An Android Smart phone is also a requirement.
• Technician must have some Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), lace up boots with a defined 1/2-inch heel, and safety cones. Other PPE may be required by local management.
• Must be available to work flexible hours. Weekend work may be required.
• Must be able to pass Background and Drug screening.
• Must have a good driving record.
• Must be able to lift 75+ lbs. continuously.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks assigned in a timely manner.
