Pediatric Home Service

Delivery Specialist (Medical Equipment)

Position: Delivery Specialist (Medical Equipment)

Location: Houston, TX

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p (rotating on-call)

The Position:

  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with the patients, families and caregivers as well as all PHS employees.
  • Schedules and makes deliveries to patients' homes in a timely manner.
  • Confirms delivery and reports potentially unsafe conditions.
  • Performs and instructs the initial set-up of oxygen and some DME.
  • Performs data entry functions to log customer visits, conversations and follow-ups.
  • Coordinates regular maintenance service to company vehicles.
  • Assists with warehouse duties and equipment processing as needed.
  • Manages time efficiently and be competent in estimating drive times.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or (GED); or 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Durable medical equipment (DME) experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to work independently.
  • Warehouse and/or driving experience in the area is a plus.
  • Experience in Brightree EHR a plus!

Certificates, Licenses, Registration:

  • Valid State Driver's License (must have a clean record)
