About the Role: At-Home Science Educator & Curriculum Specialist

Are you an experienced Science Teacher or Private Tutor looking for a meaningful, high-impact role? We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic At-Home Educator to provide specialized academic support for students aged 10–16 in a homeschooling environment. We are seeking a specialist with a mastery of Biology and the Natural Sciences.

The ideal candidate is more than just a Biology Tutor; they are a mentor who can bridge the gap between complex concepts and real-world application, fostering a deep love for learning through logic and scientific inquiry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Development: Lead the creation of a custom science curriculum, pivoting between foundational middle-school concepts and rigorous high-school-level coursework.

  • Specialized Instruction: Deliver individualized lessons in Biology, Life Science, and Natural Sciences, helping students understand the world through observation and scientific theory.

  • Academic Coaching: Help students develop essential study habits, including time management, note-taking, and organizational strategies tailored to their unique learning styles.

  • Progress Tracking: Maintain a transparent feedback loop with parents regarding academic milestones, areas for improvement, and long-term homeschooling goals.

  • Engaging Environment: Create a positive, high-energy learning environment that builds student confidence and encourages curiosity.

Qualifications:

  • Subject Expertise: Strong proficiency in the Sciences (Biology/Natural Sciences). A degree in Secondary Education, Biology, or a related field is highly preferred.

  • Teaching Experience: Previous experience in tutoring, classroom teaching, or academic mentoring, specifically with the 10–16 age demographic.
