A home insurance inspection is an assessment conducted by an insurance company to evaluate the condition, safety, and risk factors of a residential property before issuing or renewing a homeowner's insurance policy. Inspectors typically look at the structure, roof, electrical systems, plumbing, and potential hazards to ensure the property meets the insurer’s standards.
