Position Summary: 

We are seeking a hardworking, motivated Receiving Associate I to join our team. You will play an essential role in ensuring the efficient operation of the receiving area and maintaining a welcoming, safe, and organized space for staff, volunteers, and customers. You’ll be responsible for unloading donations, organizing inventory, assisting donors, and supporting general warehouse operations.


Receiving Associate I Responsibilities:

  • Assist donors with donations.
  • Enter donation data into Salesforce.
  • Price donations and items to be sold on sales floor.
  • Sort and properly recycle items that won't sell.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Answer customer questions.
  • Evaluate acceptability of donations.
  • Works with volunteers as assigned.


Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or similar environment is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 80 lbs.) repeatedly and safely.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, helpful attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • A commitment to Habitat for Humanity’s mission, values and environmental stewardship.
  • Willingness to work with volunteers, diverse staff and customer base.
  • Home Appliances/Repair, a plus!
