Job description

Summary/Objective:

The Home Equity Processor will manage a pipeline of home equity applications and loans submitted by the loan officer. The Processor will analyze the application data, supporting borrower documentation provided, credit report, flood determination, valuation, and title products, and then reach out to the borrower on behalf of the loan officer, vendors and other external companies as needed to compile the information necessary to submit the loan to the underwriter for a decision. Processors will manage pipelines for Internal Loan Originators.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Essential functions

  • Facilitate productive communication with production staff, vendors and other external companies as needed to gain documentation and information
  • Perform outbound telephone contact with borrowers as required to facilitate loan status and gain required documentation
  • Manage efficient follow up for documentation and information required to meet key performance indicators
  • Provide home equity loan assistance to branch personnel
  • Update loan origination system with key information and dates as well as manage tasks and historical comments as required
  • Manage a pipeline of loans while maintaining key performance indicators established to control quality, accuracy and efficiency
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of departmental procedures

Required education and experience

  • High School degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 years prior experience processing Conventional mortgage loans
  • Prior experience processing Government mortgage loans, preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience processing loans in compliance with Agency guidelines, preferred
  • Experience processing task in a paperless environment
