Job description

JOB PURPOSE:

This Architectural Project Management position will focus on becoming the liaison between the Corporate Architecture group and external consultants and assigned Division(s) and will be responsible for managing designs, development, and lot specific reviews.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of residential home design and construction projects from initial concept through completion
  • Support senior managers in achieving departmental goals, developing project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and division teams to refine project plans and specifications
  • Coordinate resolution of field issues, permit comments, and divisional changes per DRB Homes’ standards
  • Review and assist in the approval of architectural drawings, construction documents, and specifications
  • Ensure projects adhere to local, state, and federal building codes and regulations
  • Review and manage the process of lot specific drawings
  • Prepare project status updates and documentation for senior project managers and other DRB Homes stakeholders
  • Other related duties as required or assigned

Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively both in written and verbal formats
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
  • Knowledge of residential construction and operations.
  • Ability to create, manipulate, and read CAD drawings, Architectural blueprints, and engineering drawings
  • NEWSTAR/BuildPro experience a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office software applications
  • Analytical and organized
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Valid drivers license

Education and Work Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent required and 1-3 years of experience in architectural project management
  • Basic knowledge of architectural design principles, building codes, and construction practices
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of residential construction preferred
