What is a home chat?

A Home Chat job typically refers to a remote position where individuals provide customer support, sales assistance, or general help to clients or customers via online chat platforms, all from the comfort of their home. These roles often require strong communication skills, typing proficiency, and the ability to multitask across different software or chat windows. Companies hire home chat agents to handle inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and offer guidance in real-time, making it a convenient work-from-home opportunity for many people.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a home chat agent, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Home Chat Agent, you need excellent written communication skills, fast and accurate typing, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software, live chat platforms, and basic troubleshooting tools is typically required. Strong problem-solving abilities, patience, and the capacity to multitask set outstanding agents apart. These skills are vital for providing efficient, high-quality support and ensuring customer satisfaction in a remote environment.

What are the biggest challenges faced by home chat support agents, and how can they be addressed?

Home chat support agents often face challenges such as maintaining productivity in a remote environment, managing multiple simultaneous conversations, and ensuring clear communication without in-person cues. To address these, many companies provide robust training, regular check-ins with supervisors, and access to a knowledge base or support tools. Developing strong time management skills and setting up a dedicated, distraction-free workspace can also help agents stay focused and deliver high-quality customer service.

Job description

Dental Assistant Wanted — Come Grow With Us!
Union Mill Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Center • Mount Laurel, NJ
So, Here's the Story...

One of our amazing dental assistants is off to advanced schooling (we're so proud we could burst — but yes, we're also a little heartbroken). Her exciting next chapter means there's a spot open on our close-knit team, and we have a feeling it might be perfect for you!
We're only three years young, which means we're growing fast — and there's plenty of room for you to grow right along with us. If you're motivated, compassionate, and the kind of person who makes the whole team better just by showing up, keep reading!
The Good Stuff (a.k.a. Benefits & Perks)

  • Competitive compensation
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off
  • 401K
  • Uniform allowance
  • Continuing education reimbursement — we love a lifelong learner!
What You'd Be Doing

You'll be right in the middle of the action — working alongside our doctor during exams and surgical procedures, helping patients feel calm and cared for, and keeping the day running smoothly. Oral surgery experience is a plus, but honestly? We're happy to train the right person. Skills can be taught — a warm heart and a great attitude can't!
  • Welcome patients and help them feel right at home
  • Chat with patients about their care plan and answer their questions
  • Take vital signs and record medical history
  • Prep sterilized instruments and equipment for exams and procedures
  • Assist the doctor during procedures — including implant surgery (it's pretty cool, we promise)
  • Help with scheduling and front-office flow when needed
  • Order clinical supplies and implant components
  • Keep us on our toes with health and safety best practices
Our Wish List

  • Dental assisting experience — oral surgery background is a bonus, but we'll gladly train the right candidate
  • Current Basic Life Support / CPR certification (required)
  • New Jersey Radiology License
  • Curiosity about dental implants (or a genuine excitement to learn!)
  • Solid computer and data entry skills
  • Great communication and a friendly, welcoming vibe
  • A big heart for patient care
Sound Like You?

Then what are you waiting for? Apply today and come see why our patients — and our team — feel like family. We can't wait to meet you!
