Position Description

The Website Management Director oversees the organization’s digital presence by leading website strategy, organization, maintenance, and development efforts. The Director works closely with the Outreach, Graphic Design, Content, and Executive teams to ensure the website remains visually engaging, accessible, informative, and aligned with the organization’s mission and branding. This role is responsible for managing website projects, coordinating team workflows, and supporting the implementation of new features and improvements that enhance user experience and organizational outreach.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee website updates, organization, and content management across all pages
  • Manage and support Website Management Interns by assigning tasks, reviewing progress, and providing mentorship
  • Collaborate with Outreach, Content, and Graphic Design teams to maintain branding and messaging consistency
  • Coordinate implementation of new website features, forms, and membership-related pages
  • Monitor website functionality, accessibility, and user experience to identify areas for improvement
  • Ensure online information remains accurate, updated, and professionally presented
  • Support website optimization efforts, including navigation, responsiveness, and performance improvements
  • Assist with troubleshooting technical issues and maintaining overall website operations
  • Develop workflows and systems for long-term website organization and sustainability
  • Attend leadership and departmental meetings to provide updates on digital initiatives and projects

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage projects and collaborate across multiple departments
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in digital content
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to take initiative and adapt to evolving organizational needs

Preferred Background

  • Experience with website management, web development, or digital communications
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or related technologies
  • Experience using website builders or content management systems
  • Prior leadership or project management experience preferred
  • Interest in nonprofit work, healthcare equity, education, or digital outreach

Time Commitment

  • Approximately 5–10 hours per week
  • Flexible scheduling based on academic and organizational commitments
