Job description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and resolve account-level challenges by delivering thoughtful, compliant solutions that support patient care.
  • Develop and execute HCP and account-level business plans based on shared priorities, clinical insight, access considerations, and operational understanding.
  • Educate HCPs and practice teams on non-clinical barriers to care, including access and reimbursement tools for ultra-rare disease management.
  • Support timely treatment initiation and continuity of care using knowledge of patient flow, drug acquisition, and practice dynamics.
  • Collaborate with field and home-office partners; share market access insights.
  • Use expertise in ultra-rare disease landscape, competitors, and trends to anticipate opportunities and navigate challenges.
  • Analyze territory data to inform strategy, drive pull-through, and lead virtual and in-person HCP engagements.
  • Lead cross-functional planning discussions to solve complex HCP challenges with urgency and a patient-first mindset.
  • Orchestrate Novartis resources (Medical, Access, Patient Support) via omni-channel engagement.
Qualifications (Required):
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in pharma/biotech/healthcare or similarly structured industries with large geographically dispersed sales teams (within last 5 years). Associate level: limited sales experience acceptable.
  • Proven high performance selling to large/key accounts.
  • Self-starter with analytic/problem-solving ability and ethical leadership/compliance.
  • Must reside within territory or within 50 miles of the border; travel 60–80%; valid driver’s license.
Preferred:
  • Ultra-rare/specialty experience; knowledge of access & reimbursement pathways.
  • Experience across market access/reimbursement/account strategy/new product launches.
