Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health status, utilizing established diagnostic tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) to inform personalized treatment plans.
  • Diagnose mental health disorders accurately and evaluate treatment efficacy through continuous patient assessments and appropriate intervention strategies.
  • Maintain timely and accurate treatment records in compliance with regulatory guidelines and department protocols, leveraging technology to support documentation processes.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary team members to cultivate comprehensive treatment plans aligned with each patient's unique needs and desired outcomes.
  • Provide patient education and resources pertaining to their mental health care and community support options, acting as a liaison to enhance access to additional services.
  • Engage in the mentorship of students and interns, helping to cultivate the next generation of mental health practitioners through education and hands-on guidance.
  • Participate in peer-to-peer reviews and clinical collaborations under supervision, contributing to the professional growth and development of the team.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position specifically targets individuals and families coping with a cancer diagnosis, addressing their mental health needs comprehensively. The LCSW will apply evidence-based practices tailored to the complexities of this patient population, ensuring that cultural diversity and specific challenges are considered within every treatment strategy.

Qualifications
  • Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with exposure to outpatient therapy and cancer care.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working within a school-based or community health setting is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Interest in working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient-care outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
