Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and diagnostic evaluations, utilizing tools like the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders to create individualized treatment plans that reflect the cultural diversity and special needs of our patient demographic.
• Maintain ongoing evaluation of patients' progress, offering timely interventions and adjustments to treatment strategies in line with our clinical guidelines.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all treatment records and clinical information, utilizing current technology to comply with healthcare regulations and departmental protocols.
• Engage collaboratively with patients and their family members to co-develop comprehensive treatment plans focused on achievable outcomes, while addressing safety concerns and facilitating symptom reduction.
• Coordinate referral processes and act as a liaison between patients and external treatment providers, fostering effective relationships with other clinicians and referral agencies.
• Mentor and provide guidance to students, interns, and volunteers, contributing to their educational experience and development in the field of social work.
• With supervision, undertake peer reviews, clinical collaborations, and participate in team meetings to enhance both individual and group performance within the department.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this position is on patients navigating the complexities of mental health challenges related to cancer diagnoses. You will work directly with individuals and families to provide empathetic, tailored support that encourages resilience and coping strategies during challenging times. By utilizing evidence-based practices, you will help shape positive patient outcomes that enhance quality of life and mental well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current and active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A commitment to adhering to ethical guidelines and best practices in the field of social work.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical social work experience, particularly in outpatient settings focused on mental health.
• Experience working with populations affected by chronic illnesses, such as cancer, and familiarity with their mental health challenges.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 105,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
