  • Collaborate with clients to design individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs, personal goals, and preferences.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support client progress.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and practical self-care techniques that promote mental wellness.
  • Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on feedback and clinical observations.

  • Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to enhance therapeutic strategies utilized in practice.
  • Maintain confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring all documentation is up to date and accurate.
  • Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and other professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Advocate for clients' mental health needs and support their journey in overcoming stigma related to mental health issues.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with Empathetic Therapy Services, you will work primarily with individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Many of our clients come from various backgrounds and may include vulnerable populations such as homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic violence. Your role will be crucial in facilitating healing and empowerment within these groups, making a substantial difference in their lives through tailored therapy sessions.

Qualifications
  • A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
  • A high level of empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude towards all clients, respecting their unique experiences and struggles.
  • Strong organizational abilities and time-management skills to effectively balance therapy sessions, administrative duties, and ongoing professional development.
Preferred Experience

Experience in utilizing evidence-based therapies such as CBT and DBT is highly preferred. Additionally, familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and techniques is beneficial, as you may encounter clients dealing with acute anxiety or emotional distress. A background in working with high-risk populations is also advantageous.
