As a Program Cost Control Analyst - Level 3 or Level 4 located in Redondo Beach, CA, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

Our Program Cost Control Analyst - Level 3 or 4 for the Space Sector will help prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and assist with financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlooks, cash forecasting, and variance analysis. You will also work to ensure adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation for expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government.

Your Role and Impact:

  • Lead multiple dynamic CLINs to completion, supervising multiple Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) across these CLINs.
  • Lead a major subcontractor across two Programs and multiple CLINs. Support negotiations and oversee subcontractor's baselining activities.
  • Set up cost control system, monitor and control costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system
  • Support audits, reviews, and proposals requested by programs, customers, and company management, fact-finding, and negotiation support
  • Perform analysis and prepare reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
  • Perform Earned Value Metric (EVM) tasks including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development, budget baseline, cost risk analysis/ assessment and visibility reports, development and analysis of estimates to complete
  • Other duties as assigned

This position can be filled at either a Level 3 or Level 4.

Basic Qualifications for Level 3:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of professional experience - OR - Master's degree with 3 years of professional experience - OR - PhD with 1 year of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Requires an active Top-Secret or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application
  • Experience with financial analysis or reporting
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS)

Basic Qualifications for Level 4:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of professional experience - OR - Master's degree with 6 years of professional experience - OR - PhD with 4 years of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Requires an active Top-Secret or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application
  • Experience with financial analysis or reporting
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Defense industry experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
