Job description

Lead Transition Specialist – Senior Relocation & Transitions (Part-Time)

Caring Transitions is seeking a compassionate, hands-on Team Lead to support on-site client projects across East Jacksonville, St. Augustine, and Palm Coast. We help seniors and families through major life transitions with relocation support, downsizing, estate liquidations, online auctions, and home cleanouts.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys helping people, leading by example, and working with a supportive team. You help ensure the promises made to clients are carried out with care and professionalism.

This is flexible, part-time work with hours based on client demand. Core availability is 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday with no guaranteed weekly hours. Weekend work is available for online auction pickups. This position may be especially appealing to retirees, stay-at-home parents, or individuals looking to supplement other flexible work. Outside employment is welcome, as long as there is no conflict of interest.


Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

  • Lead on-site teams during relocations, downsizing projects, estate services, and home cleanouts.

  • Help ensure projects run smoothly, on time, and with a calm, respectful approach.

Client Experience

  • Serve as the main on-site point of contact.

  • Support clients as they settle into new homes by:

    • Hanging artwork

    • Mounting TVs

    • Organizing closets and kitchens

Team Support

  • Guide and encourage team members throughout each project.

  • Help train new staff and model best practices.

Logistics & Coordination

  • Assist with coordinating donations, recycling, and item removal.

  • Communicate progress and needs with leadership.


Qualifications
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred

  • Background in moving, organizing, or hands-on service work helpful, especially with senior populations

  • Comfortable packing, packing and moving household items

  • Basic tool skills (or willingness to learn)

  • Warm, patient, and dependable

  • Reliable transportation

  • Flexible availability
