Role Overview

The Operations Controller serves as a strategic financial and operational partner responsible for leading planning, forecasting, accounting, and performance management activities for a defined geographic region. This role helps ensure regional financial performance aligns with broader business objectives by providing accurate forecasts, meaningful analysis, and actionable insights. Through close collaboration with operational and business segment leaders, the Operations Controller supports informed decision-making, identifies risks and opportunities, and drives continuous improvements that enhance financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and overall business performance.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Lead the development of annual operating plans, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial projections for the assigned region.
  • Partner with regional leadership to translate operational drivers into accurate financial forecasts and business plans.
  • Oversee month-end close activities, financial reporting, KPI tracking, and compliance with accounting policies.
  • Monitor performance against plan, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to improve business results.
  • Serve as the primary financial liaison between regional operations and business segment leadership.
  • Support strategic initiatives through scenario modeling, investment analysis, and resource allocation recommendations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning, forecasting, reporting, and operational performance processes.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in FP&A, operations finance, accounting, or controllership roles.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting methodologies.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and partner effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills with proficiency in ERP, Excel, and BI tools.

Work Environment & Preferences

  • Work Model: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
  • Preferred Schedule: Monday through Friday during standard business hours
  • Travel Requirements: Approximately 50% travel, including recurring visits to field offices
  • Physical Requirements: Primarily office-based work requiring extended computer use, meetings, presentations, and frequent travel
