Job Title: HR Administrative AssistantJob DescriptionThe HR Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the administrative functions of the Human Resources department. Reporting directly to the HR Director, this position will assist with onboarding, recruitment coordination, document management, data entry, and general clerical support to ensure efficient HR operations.
Responsibilities- Maintain and organize personnel files and HR documentation.
- File and manage safety and OSHA-related records.
- Support recruiting activities, including scheduling interviews, conducting initial phone screenings, and assisting with onboarding processes.
- Enter and maintain HR data within spreadsheets and tracking systems.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the HR Director and HR team.
- Process, file, and maintain various HR forms and records.
- Assist with document preparation and basic data entry tasks.
- Maintain and organize food safety documentation and records.
- Support additional HR projects and administrative duties as needed.
Essential Skills- Proficiency in data entry and administrative skills.
- Experience in filing and administrative support.
- Basic Excel skills, including data entry and filtering.
- Experience in calendar management.
- Previous experience as an Administrative Assistant.
- Clerical experience and customer service skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience in recruiting, human resources, and talent acquisition.
- Knowledge in HR administration and payroll.
Work EnvironmentThis is an onsite position located near the ADM campus in Decatur. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to 4 PM, with occasional flexibility required on orientation days, potentially working up to 45 hours a week. The environment is a manufacturing office setting, characterized by a darker, older-style atmosphere.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
