About Trellus:

Trellus has created a proprietary integrated same-day delivery system that makes it possible to provide fast reliable same-day local delivery. Trellus is a community-focused start-up, working to add value to local small businesses. We understand the importance of small and home-based businesses in our community and want to support local by keeping jobs, sales, and services local. 


Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a distributed software development team to develop and maintain the modern JavaScript codebase, including but not limited to: our Web apps, hybrid apps, API and website
  • Develop software in line with our existing software architecture and coding guidelines
  • Implement new features and modules in line with our project and release milestones
  • Liaise with other members of the team through virtual and physical meetings

Location:

  • Greater New York Area  / Remote

Job Type: 

  • 3 Month Contract with possibility of extension or full-time role

Salary: 

  • $10k per month

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of professional commercial experience with React and Node
  • Minimum 4 years programming experience in professional settings
  • At least 1 year of experience with Typescript
  • A solid understanding of source control (Git), pull request, and code review processes
  • Must have Node.js experience in a production environment in including API
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, with proven experience working efficiently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Highly organized with the ability to deliver in a collaborative remote team setting
  • Responsible for building, maintaining, optimizing, and adding new features to our client applications and websites.

Additionally, experience in these areas is a huge plus, but not required:

  • Experience developing native and hybrid (Capacitor, Cordova, ionic, PhoneGap, etc) Android and iOS apps
  • Good knowledge of Relational (Postgres, MS SQL Server) database systems
  • GraphQL experience
  • Experience with Shopify, Woocommerce and other popular e-commerce platforms
