Job Title: Project Manager – High-End Residential ConstructionJob DescriptionThis role oversees the construction of a high-end, $8 million residential home in Northern Virginia, managing multiple residential contracting companies and two superintendents to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to an exceptional quality standard.
Responsibilities- Lead the full lifecycle of a high-end residential construction project for an $8 million home, from planning through completion.
- Manage and coordinate multiple residential contracting companies, ensuring clear communication, alignment on scope, and adherence to schedules.
- Supervise and support two on-site superintendents, providing guidance, resolving issues, and maintaining accountability for daily progress.
- Oversee project coordination activities, including scheduling, sequencing of trades, and resource allocation to keep the project on track.
- Ensure all construction work meets design specifications, quality expectations, and local building codes and regulations.
- Monitor project budgets and costs, proactively identifying and addressing potential overruns or delays.
- Collaborate closely with designers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve design or construction challenges quickly and effectively.
- Maintain a strong presence on-site, conducting regular walkthroughs, inspections, and progress reviews to ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Foster a collaborative and professional environment among contractors and team members, promoting safety, productivity, and respect.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, schedules, change orders, and updates for relevant stakeholders.
- Manage client expectations and communicate project status, milestones, and any changes in scope or timeline in a clear and timely manner.
- Support continuous improvement of construction processes and standards, sharing lessons learned and best practices with the broader team.
Essential Skills- Proven project management experience specifically in residential construction.
- Demonstrated ability to manage contractors and lead a larger residential construction team.
- Hands-on experience working on high-end homes valued at $10 million or more.
- Strong construction management and project coordination skills.
- Ability to interpret and work closely with design documents and specifications.
- Residential construction experience in an on-site leadership capacity.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle complex, multi-trade projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- OSHA training or certification is a plus.
- Spanish language skills are highly beneficial for coordinating with diverse teams.
- Interest in expanding into multifamily and base build projects as the company grows.
- Ability to adapt to evolving project types and embrace growth opportunities.
Work EnvironmentThis is a fully on-site position based in Northern Virginia, working on the construction of a high-end residential home five days per week. You will spend most of your time on the job site, collaborating closely with superintendents, residential contractors, and design professionals in an active construction environment. The role offers exposure to sophisticated residential builds and the opportunity to transition into multifamily and base build projects over time, providing strong growth potential and a dynamic, project-driven work setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Washington, DC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
PTO, Holiday, and benefits money is provided along with a car allowance if needed.
