Job description

Description
Location: UCHealth UCHth Parkview Medical Center, US:CO:Pueblo
Department: PMC Clinical Resources
Work Schedule: PRN, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Flex
Pay: $42.90 - $66.50 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option
Summary:Provides leadership for all nursing units and clinical support areas during assigned shift. Monitors and evaluates performance of agency and temporary staff, especially nursing staff.
Responsibilities:
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Responds to staff requests for managerial assistance. Notifies MOC/AOC as necessary.
  • Determines, coordinates, and monitors the flow of patients between units to maximize patient safety and experience and the use of the organization's resources .
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes. Coordinates patient care services with staff, physicians, and other departments.
  • Responds to complaints/conflicts and manages through established channels. Makes administrative decisions in conjunction with the MOC/AOC.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:
  • Minimum Required Education: ADN, BSN required for hires/transfers after 1/1/15. Preferred: Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. ACLS required for North Region within 3 months of hire. Other relevant certification as determined at position level.
  • Minimum Experience: 2 years of nursing experience.
