Title: Automation Test Engineer (Hybrid)
Rate: $45/hr
Location: Hybrid (2x per week onsite – Monday & Wednesday)
Preferred: Memphis, TN
Alternate: Dallas, TN

Duration: Contract to hire
Work Requirements: , Holders or Authorized to Work in the US

  • Interview Process:

    • 1st round: Technical interview

    • 2nd round: In-person interview at Memphis office


Key Responsibilities & Requirements

Automation & Testing

  • Strong experience in automation using Selenium, ReadyAPI, and Rest Assured

  • Experience in microservices and REST API testing/automation

  • Hands-on experience building test automation frameworks using:

    • JUnit

    • TestNG

    • Cucumber (BDD with Gherkin)

    • Appium

    • Postman

    • REST/JSON APIs

  • Experience in UI and API automation using Java (WebDriver, TestNG)

  • Groovy scripting experience with JMeter / SoapUI / API testing tools

  • Experience in Messaging and IVR testing

  • Experience with Selenium Grid for parallel execution across browsers

  • Knowledge of Extent Reports 2.0


API, Data & Backend Validation

  • Build and execute SQL queries for database validation

  • Experience validating APIs using Swagger documentation

  • Experience with Kafka topics and consumer validation

  • Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., Couchbase)

  • Performance testing experience using JMeter or BlazeMeter


Tools & DevOps

  • Experience with Atlassian tools:

    • Jira (project/defect tracking)

    • Stash / Git (version control)

    • Bamboo (CI/CD)

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Jenkins CI/CD pipelines

    • Maven build tools

    • Docker (pipeline automation)

  • Experience contributing to or working with enterprise automation frameworks


Programming & Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on coding ability in:

    • Java (preferred)

    • JavaScript

    • SQL

  • Solid understanding of:

    • Data structures & algorithms

    • Concurrency and multithreading

  • Ability to automate testing across full stack:

    • UI layer

    • Application layer

    • REST APIs / Web services


Cloud & Architecture

  • Understanding of cloud-based web application architecture

  • Experience with AWS deployment technologies

  • Exposure to CI automation pipelines in cloud environments


Additional Skills

  • Experience with AI-assisted quality engineering (debugging, test generation, risk analysis)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to translate complex application flows into test cases

  • Strong communication skills for:

    • Reporting results
