We are seeking a Software Developer who will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying cloud-based infrastructure and managed services to achieve scalability, flexibility, and cost efficiencies for private and public cloud systems that support the business. They focus on creating opinionated cloud environments and platforms-such as Storage as a Service and Infrastructure as a Service-that serve as building blocks for other enterprises and product teams.
ResponsibilitiesCode, test, and deploy critical features for Connected Consumer and Vehicle applications, ensuring consistency, optimization, resilience, and security.Utilize Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Agile principles-including JIRA-throughout the development lifecycle.Implement and advocate for software craftsmanship best practices, ensuring solutions are well documented, maintainable, and compliant with high coding standards.Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, automate delivery processes, and continuously improve efficiency to eliminate waste and facilitate rapid, reliable feature releases.Architect and design comprehensive API load-testing strategies.Lead threat-modeling initiatives in collaboration with security teams to ensure robust, high-performance systems.Demonstrate proven experience designing and operating cloud-native systems, with Google Cloud Platform preferred.Demonstrate strong experience with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL and SQL, and NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, including data modeling, transactional integrity, and performance tuning.Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, translate requirements into technical specifications, and provide ongoing support for application features.
