Job description

About: Quality Waterproofing + Insulation has over 40 years of expertise in energy inspections, air sealing, insulation, and other related services with the aim of improving the comfort and energy efficiency of homes and businesses.

Summary: The Laborer duties vary on the setting in which they work and their level of specialization. They usually work in residential settings, and construction sites where they will: perform physical tasks, and assist in the repair of home insulation systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Installs and replaces insulation in homes and commercial buildings.
  • Clears and disposes of old insulation according to established safety guidelines.
  • Loads and unloads insulation materials.
  • Installs spray foam and other insulation as needed.
  • Fastens insulation in place with tape, screws, staples, or fasteners as needed.
  • Transports needed tools and equipment to jobsite.
  • Follows company and industry safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Certification/Licensure: Driver’s License required. Must obtain Class E license within 2 weeks of hire.

Language Skills: Able to communicate with Production Manager

  • Basic knowledge of insulation materials.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including heat, cold, heights and low ceiling spaces.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools to install insulation.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
