Job description

Skywave Communications, Inc., a Rochester, NY based Public Safety Communications company and Motorola Solutions Service Elite Specialist, is seeking a customer focused and quality driven Electronic Test and Assembly Technician - FULL TIME candidate to join our team. Day Shift - Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00 pm Pay Range $28-$33 per hour* *Commensurate with education and experience Job Duties/Responsibilities: Ability to perform precision rack assembly work by aligning, configuring, and properly installing communications equipment into racks and cabinets Complete detailed and intricate assembly activities including running cables, manipulating small objects, reading small print, and color differentiation tasks Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, technical drawings, specifications and procedures to accurately assemble communications equipment and products Independently carry out required assembly procedures Solder, crimp, cut, apply connectors to and route wires/cables according to schematics Strip and apply heat shrink to electrical conductors Perform basic cable assembly integrity tests Maintain a clean and orderly work area Follow verbal and written directions Willingness to adapt and revise processes based on feedback from Supervisor Follow prescribed safety regulations
