Job description

Position Summary
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing all on-site logistics operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely receipt, tracking, storage, distribution, and delivery of project materials. This role works closely with the SCM, Site Logistics Manager, construction team, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and drivers to maintain project schedules while ensuring accurate documentation, communication, and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellence in the management and execution of all onsite logistics operations.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, vendors, and project personnel.
  • Collaborate with on-site team and subcontractors to ensure material offloading is efficient, safe, and free of unnecessary delays.
  • Identify significant material, weather, or offloading delays affecting project progress and communicate them to stakeholders immediately.
  • Implement and enforce established logistics processes, communication protocols, and material control systems.
  • Coordinate with the Site Logistics Manager to ensure accurate material tracking, inventory control, and documentation.
  • Verify site preparation is complete to support safe and efficient deliveries.
  • Oversee the collection of all required driver paperwork, receiving inspections and coordination of precise offloading locations onsite.
  • Oversee receipt, inspection, verification and documentation of all project materials including all modules, inverters, structural steel, major components and assets in accordance with the Material Management Plan.
  • Utilize multiple reporting and inventory platforms daily to maintain accurate project records of all material from supplier shipment and subcontractor transfers through installation.
  • Maintain accurate stored inventory counts, material shortages, damaged material and material discrepancies, and coordinate corrective action as needed.
  • Verify all materials are properly stored according to vendor and manufacturer requirements and recommendations.
  • Ensure material flow supports productivity while minimizing congestion.
  • Participate and update construction team delivery details in daily PODs
  • Conduct routine spot counts and stored material verifications.
  • Collaborate with Site Logistic Manager on weekly reports per contractual obligations.
  • Manage laydown yards, damaged material areas and ensure site storage conditions comply with manufacturer requirements.
  • Coordinate recycling efforts, obtain recycling quotes, and schedule material pickups.
  • Manage damaged material inspections, validation, documentation, and warranty claim processes when applicable.
  • Maintain compliance with all company safety policies, PPE requirements, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety standards.
  • Complete any other tasks assigned by management

Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, construction logistics, or material management.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience on utility-scale solar sites, infrastructure, renewable energy, EPC projects
  • Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Bills of Lading, inventory control, and material tracking systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and reporting platforms (Procore, Smartsheet, ERP/inventory systems preferred).
  • Ability to coordinate multiple deliveries and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
  • Demonstrated organization and analytical skills and the ability to diagnose and analyze problems and drive appropriate solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred OSHA 30 or 10 certification

Physical Demands
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors on a large-scale construction site in varying weather conditions.
  • Frequent walking across uneven terrain and active construction areas.
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access equipment when required.
  • Ability to travel throughout the project site and to supplier/vendor locations as needed.
  • Sit at a desk for several hours per day while performing computer-based tasks.
