  • Implement an efficient clipping strategy geared toward virality
  • Maintain profit-and-loss responsibility for the video organization of The Free Press and set additional measurable KPIs for the organization
  • Serve as a key liaison between department heads, producers, and editors, translating high-level editorial priorities into structured, usable notes that guide the edit
  • Directly oversee the Directors of Production and Post-Production to ensure the final video products are up to the standards of The Free Press from the conception through shoot and delivery of content
Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience working directly with on-camera talent, producers, and editors and shaping their output
  • Fluency with production tools and workflows (e.g., microphones, cameras, Premiere, platforms like Riverside) including emerging AI products
  • Strong post-production sensibility, with the ability to collaborate effectively with editors on pacing, structure, tone, and visual style, while translating stakeholder feedback into clear creative direction
  • Ability to operate at a fast pace, including responding to breaking news outside standard hours when needed
